Getting a good photo is easy! Don’t worry, it doesn’t have to be perfect. We want to help you take the highest quality photo so we can give you the highest quality artwork. Please follow these easy guidelines and look at the examples below:
The best photos will have even lighting with no harsh shadows or bright spots. The face fills most of the frame, and the details of the animal’s face are clear. Photos are in focus.
Your pet photo (while he or she is sitting or standing only) should be a close up of your pet’s face (eye level- looking at the camera) and neck (ears in frame) Please don’t send blurry pictures, images that are too dark or photos taken from a distance.
Avoid placing your pet in a spot inside that has direct sunlight, or outside under a tree, which can result in harsh shadows and bright spots.
- Resolution is key! Please upload the highest resolution photo possible. Do not use images taken from Facebook, Instagram or other social media.
- Please send the unedited, original photo without any filters.
- Do not use your camera’s flash, as it can discolor your pet’s eyes.
- If using an iPhone, do not use portrait mode as it can blur parts of the photo, and get close to your pet to take the photo, rather than using the zoom feature.
A good photo will result in an amazing piece of art for you to cherish for a lifetime!

I love this photo of my dog. It looks photoshopped but it’s not terribly obvious. They do pretty well to make it blend. I’m very happy with this and would love the option for a cool frame. Plastic would be ok as long as it looked ornate with gold leaf paint.
Love what you guys did on Mazie’s portrait. It means a lot to me since she recently passed away.
Gave this and another one as gifts...she loves them. Super awesome customer services, too. Thank you so much!
This was probably the best I’ve ever given my daughter. There were smiles, tears and laughter all together. Could not be happier!
I had 2 dog’s portraits done and this one was the one that pulls on my heartstrings (and the owner, Stephanie’s).
Sweet Pea was a bait dog rescued from a fighting ring. She has hundreds of scars on her body. Her face may not look beautiful to others, but she is a Warrior who survived and I wanted her portrait to show that. So, when I was corresponding with Stephanie (owner) I wanted to make sure her facial scars were left in the photo.
Sweet Pea also has a half paralyzed tongue, and slightly tilted jaw. As you can see in the canvas, she now DOES look like a Duchess!
Everyone that met her agrees that this is definitely a perfect work of art.
